25th Conference REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS 2023

Topic:

This year’s 45th Conference on Building Rehabilitation and Reconstruction will be conducted as a traditional conference dealing with the issues of building rehabilitation, which are thematically divided into the following areas:

Publications

During the conference, representatives of WTA CZ and other leading domestic experts will speak on these topics and present papers on behalf of individual speakers.

WTA CZ is the host of the 45th WTA CZ conference, which is planned this year with international participation under the title 25th CRRB – Conference on Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Buildings, where scientific and practical knowledge in this sector will be presented.

The minimum mlength of a paper for the CRRB conference is 2 pages, the length of a paper for the SaRB conference is unlimited.

Proceedings:

A printed proceedings will be issued from the CRRB and SaRB conference, which will be given to participants upon registration for the conference on 9 November 2023.
Articles will be subject to editorial review and authors may be asked to revise their submissions as directed by the editor.

After October 31, 2023, only payments with an increased participation fee and a copy of the payment receipt will be accepted at the time of attendance.

EXCURSION

As part of the konference, a tour of the historic building of the Main Railway Station in Prague will be organized. It will be possible to visit the Interiors with a guide, including an expert explanation about the reconstruction. The current form of the historic station building comes from the architect Josef Fanta and was built at the beginning of the 20th century.

a) Corporate promotional lecture up to 15 min.

The text of the promotional lecture is published in the conference proceedings under the stated price for the promotional lecture. The deadline for receipt of abstracts for technical papers is 30 September 2023. The complete text for printing must be submitted no later than 15 October 2023. If the text is not submitted and paid for by the deadline, it will not be printed in the proceedings.

The price for a promotional lecture up to 10 min. is:

for WTA CZ member 7.200,- CZK. incl. VAT

for a non-member 9.800,- CZK incl. VAT

b) Company advertising in the proceedings

Submissions for the printing of advertisements for the proceedings must be submitted by 1 October 2023. Texts should be submitted in black and white in A5 or A4 format and then reduced to A5 format. Figures, graphs, etc. in sharp, contrasting quality on white paper or transparencies. Photographs for advertisements are not recommended, there have been bad experiences with their reproduction.

The price for a company advertisement in the proceedings for 1 A5 page is:

c) Company presentations

The presentation area will be located directly adjacent to the lecture room and will be accessible throughout the conference. Exhibits and items on display are not insured. Exhibits can be installed no earlier than 2 hours before the konference.

for a non-member 7.500,- CZK incl. VAT

d) distribution of company materials

We anticipate the need for approximately 110 pieces of corporate materials and their delivery to the conference venue at least 2 days before the conference on 7 November 2023.

e) Complete corporate promotion and presentation services

announces the 16th edition of the competition

Best Thesis and Dissertation in the field of Building Rehabilitation and Reconstruction 2022/2023

The thesis or dissertation must correspond to one of the WTA CZ references in terms of professional focus. The work should include a textual, drawing, or experimental component. As a requirement for participation in the competition, the project must also complete an application form, including an abstract of the thesis itself, which will be certified by the thesis supervisor.

Each applicant must fill out an application form, which will serve as the basis for the WTA CZ Council meeting to evaluate the work. The application form is available for download below and is in the size of 2 x A4 pages.

Please submit your thesis/dissertation to WTA.CZ no later than October 15, 2023.

The thesis/dissertation must meet the following criteria:

a) Originality of the solution
b) Quality and level of workmanship

The accepted works will be evaluated by an expert committee during the WTA CZ Council meeting, and the results will be announced during the 45th Conference on Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Buildings 2023, which will include the International 25th CRRB 2021 Conference on Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Buildings. The conference will take place at the Kloker Institute of the Czech Technical University in Prague on November 9, 2023. The author of the best thesis will have the opportunity to present their work at this conference.

Main prizes:

1st place: Financial reward of 5,000 CZK
2nd place: Financial reward of 3,000 CZK
3rd place: Financial reward of 2,000 CZK

Conditions of participation in the competition:

• The thesis/dissertation must be submitted and defended during the academic year 2022/2023.

Accommodation during the conference is not provided by the organizers and each participant is responsible for his/her own accommodation.
