As an independent research institute of the CTU, the Klokner Institute establishes cooperation with companies both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Such cooperation basically involves qualitative and quantitative research on the reliability of structures, monitoring of the behavior of buildings, and the associated processing of expert opinions on the safety of materials and structures.

VIKTORIA PLZEN STADIUM IN STRUNCOVE GARDENS

In connection with the reconstruction of the football stadium in Štruncové sady in Plzeň, diagnostics of the reinforced concrete structures of the main stand was carried out. The subject of the diagnostics was mainly to determine the dimensions, concrete strength and the method of reinforcement of the structural elements, including the design characteristics and the corrosion state of the reinforcement.

SHOOTING RANGE IN LIBEREC

The aim of the structural and technical survey of the shooting range, built in the Empire style and listed in the List of Cultural Monuments, was to determine the strength and moisture condition of the masonry, the structural design of the modern buildings and the condition of the wooden ceilings and roof trusses. Furthermore, the work focused on the foundation structures and foundation conditions and, last but not least, on mapping the underground passages in the shooting range area.

BENEDICTINE MONASTERY IN BROUMOV, OBJECTS IN THE GARDEN

In connection with the planned reconstruction of the buildings in the garden of the Benedictine monastery in Broumov, a structural and technical survey of the water tower, the bowling alley, the central house and the caretaker’s house, the shed and parts of the perimeter walls around the garden was carried out. The survey work was aimed at determining the strength and moisture condition of the masonry, the condition of the roofing of some buildings and the foundation conditions of the perimeter wall. In addition, a geotechnical investigation was carried out to assess the existing soils in relation to the planned road construction in the garden.
